DJI RC Track leaked

DJI’s unlreased GPS tracking remote controller has leaked once again ahead of its launch. This time, two images, one featuring the tracker in the hand and another with the tracker being used alongside a phone to control the recently launched DJI Air 3S.

From previous leaks, we know the tracker will allow users to be followed by the drone hands-free by locking the onto the location of the RC Track, allowing it to follow without having to use the usual vision based ActiveTrack.

The RC Track will allow users to position the drone in 16 preset locations around the tracker. Front, back, left, right, and 45-dgrees with a close and far option for each.

The tracker also allows for single click left and right orbiting around itself, and features buttons for starting/stopping, increasing/decreasing the altitude, increasing/decreasing the distance. There are also has indicator lights to let you know where the drone is in relation to the tracker.

DJI RC Track release date

While official looking images of the DJI RC Track is a fairly good sign of a release soon, we are still yet to see the new remote controller make its way through the FCC. A regulatory requirement for devices being sold in the United States.

When a device from DJI does make its way through the FCC, it usually releases within 3 months of doing so, sometimes even sooner in some cases. So, based on that info, a Q1 2025 release would be likely. Maybe along-side a new drone if we are lucky 👀.
