WA Day 2024 promises an unforgettable experience with its highlight event – a breathtaking drone show. This year’s celebration is set to captivate audiences with an innovative display lighting up the night sky across two night with over 500 drone hitting the sky.
WA Day Drone Show
As part of the WA Day festivities, a spectacular drone show will be held along the banks of the Swan river. The event is scheduled for two evenings:

- Monday, June 3rd, 2024: The drone show and fireworks display will commence at 6:15 PM (weather permitting).
More than 500 drones equipped with LED lights will perform a choreographed dance in the sky, creating intricate patterns and shapes. Expect to see iconic symbols of Western Australia, such as the black swan, alongside mesmerising abstract designs.
The drone show will celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Western Australia, featuring representations of Indigenous art and motifs. This visual narrative will highlight stories from the past and present, showcasing the diverse tapestry of Western Australian society.
This drone show is an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fireworks, producing no harmful smoke or noise pollution. This makes it safe for local wildlife and more inclusive for community members sensitive to loud noises.
Combining state-of-the-art technology with creative artistry, each drone is pre-programmed for precise movements, synchronised to create fluid animations and transitions. This results in a stunning visual display that pushes the boundaries of traditional sky shows.
