DJI has just announced its ‘For Moving Moments’ event where we expect the DJI Pocket 3 to be released. The event’s name and teaser image match the leaked images in style and the appearance of the Pocket 3.
What can we expect to see?
The Pocket 3 will be shown off for the first time at DJI’s ‘For Moving Moments’ event, ending the three-year wait for those wanting to upgrade from the older Pocket 2 released in 2020 and not wanting to purchase a three-year old piece of tech.
This has further been confirmed by the release of the DJI Pocket 3 on the FCC database, which happened a few hours before DJI’s official announcement.
DJI is on a product release role as of late, with the Mini 4 Pro being released last month and the Zenmuse L2 LiDAR payload releasing earlier in the month.
DJI Pocket 3 leaks and specs
The DJI Pocket 3 has seen a number of leaks of the last few months. Recently, we got to see confirmed specs and selling points of the upcoming camera, which are:
- 1-inch CMOS & 4K/120fps
- 2″ rotatable screen & horizontal-vertical shooting
- 3-axis gimbal mechanical stabilisation
- ActiveTrack 6.0
- Full-pixel fast focusing
- D-Log M & 10-bit
- Stereo recording
- Pocket sized
We also saw the DJI Pocket 3 show up in the DJI Mimo app alongside the Osmo Mobile 7 a few months ago. Images of the Pocket 3 being being field tested as well product shots of the new rotating touch screen were also leaked. While we are yet to see any physical leaks of the Osmo Mobile 7, we don’t think the release is too far off as the Osmo Mobile 6 was released in September 2022.
