Our team have managed to find resources within the latest version of the DJI Fly app referencing the DJI Mini 4 Pro, DJI’s yet to be released mini drone.
This news comes after the Mini 4 Pro was spotted at the FCC earlier in the month and European pricing was leaked this week.
DJI Mini 4 Pro in DJI Fly
After taking a dig through the latest version of the DJI Fly app’s apk file, version 1.11.4, we managed to find a string referencing the Mini 4 Pro, suggesting a release is very close. Specifically, we found the following string:
The string appears to be used as a reference for the list of drones in the selection carousel in the Fly app. It was found alongside the new DJI Air 3, Mavic 3 series, RC 2, and the rest of the products supported by the Fly app and suggests the code name for the Mini 4 Pro is wa140.
Along with wa140, there is also strings mentioning wa520 and zv902, which both don’t have a product name linked to them. Based on the first two letters, wa seems to relate to the Air and Mini line of drones, with the Air 3 using wa233, possibly the Mini 4 non-Pro, and vz looks to relate to the goggles line-up, with Goggles 2 using zv900, and Goggles Integra using zv901. Two more products DJI is working on?
