GoPro has just released its new GoPro Hero 8 Black and GoPro MAX 360 action cameras in three YouTube videos earlier this week. The new cameras from GoPro bring new features along with needed improvements to the table, sure to keep them in front of the DJI Osmo Action.
GoPro released its two new action cameras earlier today via a set of YouTube videos, a little weird as GoPro usually has a live event.
The new GoPro Hero 8 Black improves on the company’s previous GoPro Hero 7 camera with the added built-in ‘finger’ mount and the addition of HyperSmooth 2.0. GoPro Hero 8 Black also comes with the new mod system which includes a media mod, light mod and, display mod.
The new mod system allows for a 3.5mm audio output, USB-C connection and, an HDMI out port, the display panel allows an external display to be added one of the cold shoe mounts. The light mod allows for a light panel to be added to the camera as well.
The GoPro MAX 360 replaces the GoPro Fusion 360 action camera while adding the new built-in ‘finger’ mount as well as a new touch screen display. As well as the ability to use it as a normal GoPro Hero camera, with the added feature of being able to change the field of view throughout the video via the GoPro app.
The GoPro Hero 8 Black will cost $399.99 (AUD$599.95) and is available for preorder right now. The mods for the GoPro Hero 8 Black will be available in December. The GoPro MAX 360 will set you back $499.99 (AUD$799.95) and is also available for preorder now.
